While shopping met Chris & Laura with their children Miles & Elle. Despite having just moved into their new house in the woods & being surrounded by boxes they still had us to stay!
A spontaneous invitation from The Sauer Family – crazy George (the sock monkey) also slept in the tent with the boys.
Using the cycling network warmshowers.org we got to meet just a few incredibly friendly & helpful members of David Hunt’s big family. Very grateful to his brother John for the pick up to save us the very steep hill & totally amazed to hear that after having 5 of their own children they had adopted 4 more!
Whilst staying at the beach house of Loni’s father (Loni – we met further north in Washington State)- the boys had heaps of fun looking for crabs and oysters!
Too far to go to our campsite we asked a farmer if we could camp on his farm. All of us enjoyed the fresh moon toilet!
